Welcome to the London LGBTQ+ Dinner Club.
We are a friendly group that welcomes everyone regardless of where you are on the spectrum on sexuality or gender identity and expression.
The group was founded by Ian, who ran the successful London Gay Men's Dinner Club for eight years and the same warmth and welcome that that group was known for is now reaching out to all in the LGBTQ+ community.
We will meet once a month to go for dinner at a restaurant in London. We will meet for pre-dinner drinks first before heading to that month's chosen restaurant. There may be months where we have a social gathering at a pub/bar but generally we will be meeting to go out for food. Restaurant recommendations are always welcome.
The aim of the group is to meet and make new friends and be a welcoming, friendly and inclusive group of LGBTQ+ people.
The one rule for dinner is that we split the bill by how many attend. This avoids awkwardness and (from years of experience) the tricky task of figuring out individual amounts. If you do not agree with this, then please do not sign-up for events.
Keep an eye out for events as they are announced on Meetup. It will be great to welcome you and any friends you have to the group.

Back in 2011, I had the idea of bringing gay guys together socially, to connect and find fellowship and friendship. I had struggled to find a place on the gay scene and events I had been to had been quite cliquey. Combining my love for eating and desire to create an inclusive and welcoming environment - Dinner Club was born.
We have had a couple of different incarnations over the years as we have evolved. We welcome all members of the LGBTQ+ community but find we are still primarily a group of gay men. The friendships that have been made over the years have been a joy. We have celebrated weddings and sadly have been to a small number of funerals. We have survived a global pandemic and continue to thrive. Throughout all the years we have been meeting - the core values of kindness and inclusion have been what helps the group to endure (and a love of food).
Come and celebrate Dinner Club's 13th birthday with an evening at the wonderful Crusting Pipe Wine Bar and Restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden.
The Crusting Pipe Wine Bar and Restaurant is set in the heart of Covent Garden Market, just minutes from Charing Cross, Embankment, Covent Garden and Leicester Square tube stations.
Open from breakfast, through to lunch, afternoon tea, pre-theatre dining and dinner, tables at The Crusting Pipe are always in high demand. You will find classic British dishes on the menu, made with seasonal ingredients sourced from our trusted suppliers. Choose from an interesting and diverse selection of wines to enjoy with them, all sourced by Davy’s Wine Merchants.
The evening will begin with pre-dinner drinks at Retro Bar (On George Court, off The Strand). This is where we get to chat and mix. We will then be heading to Covent Garden for dinner at The Crusting Pipe for 7.30pm.
We have a private area reserved for us where we can continue conversations whilst enjoying a delicious three course dinner.
For this meal, we will be eating from the £48 set menu (a copy of which you can view in the event photos).
Afterwards, some of the group head for post-dinner drinks. The venue for this is decided on the night.
Numbers for this meal are strictly limited to 18.
Therefore in order to secure your place and avoid disappointment, you will need to do two things asap.
Firstly, RSVP and pay the £11 deposit. £10 goes towards the cost of your meal and the remaining £1 covers PayPal costs and the subscription that is required to host the group on Meetup. Please note that Meetup now add their own booking fee. Sadly, I have no control over this fee.
Next, you will need to send me a message with your choice for each course - Starter, Main (include any additional side dishes) and dessert. I MUST have these by Friday 17th May. This is when RSVPs will close.It will be great to get this meal fully booked. It may well be good to RSVP as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
