👋 HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE HIDEOUT, THE MOST ACTIVE THRILLER, SCI-FI AND HORROR FILM CLUB IN LONDON MADE BY FANS FOR FANS.
In a nutshell, we are just a bunch of Die Hard Film Buffs, Filmmakers, Creators, Comic Book Nerds, Geeks, and Trekkies who are aficionados of Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton, David Lynch, John Carpenter, James Cameron, Gene Roddenberry, H.P Lovecraft, you name it, who like to go out for drinks and watch movies. We also rate and review the films after we watch them and the results are posted on our Letterboxd Page.
We are avid supporters of Independent Cinema, The Film Festival Guild, Medicinema, Prince Charles Cinema and the British Film Institute. Thanks to this we sometimes gain special access and discounts to special events that we can then share with you. Plus we meet up regularly for a social to catch up again at the BFI which is a lot of fun.
We try to stay well informed when it comes to Film News, New Releases and Re-Releases and members are able to vote for the films they want to watch through our WhatsApp Group or Telegram Group which are available on request. We also have an alternative non invasive WhatsApp Channel and Telegram Channel for updates only.
Whatever the time of year we do our best to always be around, come and join us for a good time.

🧟 QUARANTINE IS NOW ON FRIDAY THE 13TH
There was a time where only Jason wore the mask, but now it seems it will be all of us.Hello Everyone? 👋 It looks like we have more to worry about this Friday the 13th than just one psycho as now there will be more. This is the 2007 sequel starring Robert Carlyle which is not bad for a follow-up to the original. There are also many fans to this Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directed film which depicts a post-apocalyptic Britain where a deadly virus has ravaged the population. Now, under American rule (as they stick their nose in absolutely everything), the country is again being repopulated. The film explores the reawakening of the infection and its even more dangerous manifestation, as a new wave of refugees carries the virus back into the country.
This will be a good film to watch before the new 28 Years Later hits theatres on IMAX a few weeks later. Here are your quarantine instructions below :
- 7:15 PM: We meet for drinks at Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar next to the Cinema. You will find me with a meetup sign.
- 8:45 PM: We move to Screen 2 at Prince Charles Cinema. I chosen seat A6.
- 10:25 PM We briefly reconvene at the bar to score the film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.

🧟WHAT DIFFERENTIATES AMERICAN FROM BRITISH HORROR FILMS?
I'd say that British horror films tend to have a more gritty and grim atmosphere. And often have a more nihilistic ending. But that's just my opinion.Hello guys 👋 Yep, a big British horror film will finally be back in mainstream cinemas with the awesome trio who know how to make great films and tell great stories. Director Danny Boyle, writer Alex Garland and Cillian Murphy are set in refuelling this franchise with a new nightmare of Viral Post-Apocalyptic Horror. Even for me, this has been a long-awaited sequel which will take place more than two decades later in our home in Britain across the Northeast of England including Holy Island. So some more geography and patriotism, and there's nothing wrong with that. Before you prepare for this movie, you should checkout or re-watch 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. You know, just to get in the mood.
It looks like this will still be a year of sequels but I believe this will be a good one. Checkout de details below:

Move on because our society just goes crazy for the latest device. And whether it steels our data or not, we just go for it man. And I bet ya that were gonna wan’t one of these too, because it’s the latest thing.Hello, My Techno-Buddies and Technophobes 👋 Now that there's a new evil getting an upgrade, I guess we're no longer going up to space with Jason X which was fun, by the way. Yet this device will kill you, but you won’t care because like I said, it's the latest thing. Such was the success of the first M3ghan that this new sequel by director Gerard Johnstone was inevitable. Much of the rest crew will be back including the main protagonists and screenwriters. I’m guessing that they may expand on some M3gan creators story plus of course her desire to defend her original owner, no matter the cost. That's all I know for now.
Warning: This crazy artificially intelligent self-aware doll comes with fatal consequences. Batteries and accessories are sold separately. I'll get back to you near the date with meet-up details. Signing off for now..

📼 LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH!
As you should know, first it controls your mind... then it destroys your body. But the battle for the mind was already fought in the video arena. Now, it is plain and simple coming out of every screen, everywhere, all the time. It is a nightmare you can now no longer avoid. So good luck with this.What’s happening dudes and dudesses 👋 I'll be watching this film jet lagged, cause I must confess I always wanted to see this one in the cinema. It is a legacy film which is one of the staples of what David Cronenberg is known for in terms of style and substance. And as you probably guessed it is a Science-Fiction- Body-Horror which I believe was ahead of its time when it came out. It explores themes of media consumption and technology while blurring lines between reality and fiction. So, pretty much everything we are experiencing blindly now at warp speed more than ever. Also this film is known for its body horror elements, unsettling imagery, social commentary and the impact of media on society. Check out this cool breakdown by Writer's BlockBuster... however if you haven't watched this film yet, I would wait until after.
Now, I am not saying this is going to help you snap out from the big bad bubble, but it's good to know where we’re at, cause things are not getting better LOL. Unless you take the red pill, but that's a story for another time. Here is the schedule for tonight:
