👋 Welcome to The Hideout: London’s most hyperactive social film club, built by horror fans for horror fans, exploring every corner of horror and the darker edge of sci-fi.
This is a home for fearless film lovers, indie creators, and dreamers, who dare to explore the depths of dystopia, drawn to the uncanny worlds of Hitchcock, Kubrick, Carpenter, Craven, Cronenberg, Argento, Lovecraft, and beyond.
We meet regularly for screenings, share laughs over drinks, and rave (or rant) together on our Letterboxd Page. You’ll also find us hanging out at our BFI Riverfront socials — always a great time. We stay on top of film news, and members get to vote on what we watch next via our WhatsApp or Telegram groups (unlocked after your first meetup).
We’re all about supporting independent cinema, whether it’s at the Prince Charles Cinema, exciting film festivals, or the BFI,. That means we often snag special perks and early access as part of our crew. From road trips to spooky festivals, pub quizzes to Riverfront hangouts, there’s always something fun in the mix.

👋 What’s up! ladies and gentlemen, monsters and reptiles, witches and warlocks, creeps and stalkers, misfits and rejects, murderers and ghost hunters. This kind of question invites you to bring your own memories, pulling you back into the shadows of the dark and the bizarre.

💔🎬 OBSSESION
Leicester Square, Cranbourn Street, London, GB🖤 A wish for Willow’s love: consent is the first to vanish. When it takes your heart, it devours your soul.
👋 All right you guys! this one's intriguing. The film premiered last year at the Toronto Midnight Madness Festival. It is by the American actor-comedian Curry Barker, known for sketch comedy and YouTube horror. Now, he makes his second attempt as a director, aiming for a wider yet still limited release here in the Uk.
The story follows a music store employee. He’s a hopeless romantic who uses a supernatural novelty toy to make his longtime crush fall in love. Weird, right? But, as expected, such wishes come with dark consequences. My advice: enjoy the movie, but don’t try this at home.
As we get closer to the date, we'll arrange our usual meet-and-greet before the film, followed by a Letterboxd review after. Just make sure to check back here for further details as the time approaches.

👋 Hey guys! You should know that the subversion of many companies’ stated goals, meant to foster unity, is really just a quiet bloodbath in disguise. And on that note, let’s check out this new film by Aaron Fisher.
The premise is described as a gory mix of The Menu and Saw, following a group of executives from a rising tech company who find themselves trapped in a sadistic game of survival, masterminded by a vengeful retreat leader.
The film serves as a vicious satire and a chilling takedown of corporate culture, diving into resilience and the cold hierarchy of modern business, where nobody’s performance review is safe.
So… keep that in mind as you climb the ladder.This Saturday evening we'll meet for some drinks in town (Leicester Square), before gearing up for the film. Then after the film we’ll regroup once again for our hot takes and a Letterboxd review. Final details will be updated closer to the time, so keep an eye on this page.

Leicester Square, Cranbourn Street, London, GB💀 Damn, those horrific tragedies that unleash such an implacable demonic stalker—why is it so impossible to outrun?
👋 Hey guys! Once again, we find ourselves right in the middle of bloody May, carving into another horror film. This time, we’re going into overdrive with a new tragedy horror by André Øvredal—already stirring quite a buzz on Reddit, with claims it explores elements of body horror.
If you’re familiar with his previous work, this will come as no surprise, as The Autopsy of Jane Doe and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark also explore elements of body horror—though in different ways. Both are well regarded in the horror community, so excitement for this one is pretty high.
Most of the plot is being kept under wraps, but the vibe points to a suffocating, tense loop—following a couple caught in a harrowing car accident and pursued by a demonic stalker that seems impossible to escape. So let’s park outside that awful congestion zone.
The plan: this Sunday late afternoon, we’ll chillax with drinks before heading in to the film. Then after the screening, we’ll catch up again to review it. Final details will be updated closer to the release date, so please keep an eye on this page as it will change. We’ll keep you posted.
One would expect some sort of break after a shocking accident—but don’t count on it.
