This is our weekly event! Hey Badminton Enthusiasts! This meet-up is for all levels: beginners, intermediates and experts. Everyone is welcome to join, test their skills and have some fun together! The host will reserve courts in advance, that means please only register if you really plan to come (or cancel at least 24 hours before the event starts). The fee for this event is 12€ (for the 2 hours). If you plan on paying in cash, please bring the exact amount as the host might not have any change available. We are meeting at about 10:55 am near the reception by the lounge area (next to the courts). Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use, but for the men lockers you need a padlock - or you can also take your bag of clothes upstairs to the courts if you do not have a padlock. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes, your racket and a water bottle with you. There is a drinking fountain available if you need to replenish your bottle. If you do not have a racket, it is possible to rent rackets from the club, if necessary (3€). Sometimes the host or other members have spare rackets - please ask in the comment section below! Outdoors are back! You are invited to hike with us **on Sunday 24th May** through the peaceful silence of the Green Prater's vast forest, walking all the way to its far side! We meet at 13:55 outside the Praterstern station, on the side of the station that looks at the Prater. The exact **Meeting Point** is just outside the tunnel with the large bicycle parking. In Google Maps look for "Türkis Praterstern", we will wait in front of this restaurant. A funny little pug named Uschi will be with us! We start hiking exactly at 14:00 and we mainly follow the Stadtwanderweg 9. After 2 hours of walk, we'll do a 30-minute stop to have a short picnic in a meadow if it is not wet (please bring a blanket and some snack for you!). We plan to be back at the Praterstern station at 18:00. Please bring 1 liter of water and wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothes. The walk is long (about 12 km) and the terrain might be wet in some points if it rained the day before. If heavy rain is forecasted we'll postpone the hike and notify all participants 48 hours before the event. IMPORTANT: This is not a guided hike, but simply a chance to experience nature around Vienna together, so everyone is responsible for their own health and safety. The Unity of Columbus Resource Group for the Homeless is seeking compassionate volunteers who would like to help serve and uplift members of our homeless community. This group is dedicated to sharing kindness, resources, and support with individuals who may be experiencing difficult circumstances. Anyone with a heart for service is welcome to join us as we work together to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Community members are also invited to contribute by bringing helpful items for those in need. Donations of items can be contributed at the meeting and will be distributed to assist members of the homeless community.
