We'd like to invite you to a new kind of Arise and Shine Activity. We are creating virtual conversations to share positive energy, hope and inspiration in a different way. Each week, we'll begin with a general discussion about each other's well-being and then in the second part, we share thoughts on the latest chapters of a book we're all reading together. You can join us at any time even if you haven't read the book and members have found they can still get a lot out of the discussion. We choose books based on the consensus of all the members of the group at the time when we finish each book. All the books we read are related to healthy living, mindfulness, mental health, and overall well-being and everyone is open to making suggestions. We want to create a safe space for everyone and so we ask that anyone who joins us agrees to keep what is shared confidential. Also, we would like to state that we, the organizers, are not mental health professionals and are simply people who feel passionately about creating a community around mental health, physical fitness and sharing positive energy. Due to restrictions on the length of free zoom calls we will only be keeping the line open for 30 minutes. Every Tuesday at 7:30 we will begin a virtual study of selected Psalms. Through this study we hope to become better acquainted with this wonderful book of worship and praise, as we see how righteous people dealt with a variety of life situations and emotions. In these studies we hope to draw nearer to God and better understand our place in His world. If you are interested in joining us, please message us or RSVP and we will provide the zoom link for you!

Join Rebecca Lynne as she leads a two hour generative writing workshop, featuring prompts, inspiration and feedback drawn from the Gateless method. In the mythology salons, a character from mythology will be chosen prior and will be briefly described so there is no need to prepare prior. Then a related poetic prompt will be shared followed by writing and sharing time with feedback following the Gateless method. ALL GENRES ARE WELCOME! Rebecca Lynne is a certified Gateless facilitator. Beginning with presentation of a unique communication or expression, she will lead the group to a prompt and then time to write. She will invite the group to share what each has created, with feedback following the Gateless method. Let Rebecca help to inspire you, create community, and help to unearth the writing that’s inside. This workshop is $15 per session or 11 sessions for $150.
