Reading in Companionable Silence on tour: Domäne Dahlem (breakfast/farm/museum)
We are coming to Domäne Dahlem, an organic farm based in a manor house in the heart of Berlin Steglitz-Zehlendorf. It includes a blacksmith's workshop and an agricultural history museum, along with many animals and harvest spots. They also serve a breakfast buffet on weekends and holidays, with 100% organic and farm-to-table food. And... we have a table booked for a limited amount of people at the Landgasthaus 🙌 The plan is to enjoy a top-tier breakfast from 10:30 am, catch up on some reading, and then move along the Domäne, checking the animals, the crops, and the local exhibitions. Itinerary: 10:30-11 am: We arrive at the Landgasthaus and order from the breakfast buffet. Note that the buffet costs EUR 25 per person, serving all-you-can eat farm-to-table food. Drinks are not included in this price. If you come, make sure to be on time as to avoid missing the buffet window 🙂 11 am - 12 pm: We sit and read for one hour while enjoying our hearty breakfast. 12:00-12:30 pm: We share our reading impressions. 12:30 - \~15 pm: Optional: We walk around the farm, check out the crops and the animals and/or visit the local museum. Museum tickets cost 5 EUR per person, 3 EUR reduced. Hope to see you there!

I WRITE – A Silent Writing Club (Just You & Your Words)
I WRITE – A Silent Writing Club (Just You & Your Words)
Welcome to **I WRITE**, a gentle space for anyone who wants to write—quietly, freely, and without judgement. We are a Berlin community of writers who gather together weekly to write, talk and recharge after a long week. Some of us journal, some write novels, some do academic writing, many people come without a project in mind and see where the inspiration flow takes them. This is a space to simply show up and write, a safe place to be yourself and to release all your layers onto the paper. There’s no set topic, no feedback circle, and no pressure. Just warm people, a calm atmosphere, and time dedicated to yourself. 🗓️ **Agenda:** * 14:30 - 15:00 **→** 30 min arriving, optional socialising (arrive early, meet other writers) * 15:00 - 16:00 **→** 1 hour of silent writing (headphones welcome, focus encouraged) * 16:00–16:30 **→** 30 mins break + optional chat or solo time (stay and chat or go celebrate the rest of your Saturday) * 16:30–17:30 → 1 more hour of silent writing (for those staying) * 17:30–18:00 → 30 mins of chat, and leaving 🎒 **Bring:** * Something to write with (laptop, notebook, phone, typewriter… anything goes) * Something to drink (there is no cafeteria, unfortunately) * Your current project or a blank page * Yourself, exactly as you are **👉 Responsibility:** * Our location is limited; thus, I am kindly asking you to RSVP only if you are willing to attend. **📍Location:** * We meet at **Heinrich Schulz Library in Charlottenburg**. In the library, go look for the Gruppenraum; I will be waiting for you there. Any trouble finding the room, I will come to meet you outside. * 🚇 U7 **Richard-Wagner-Platz** * 🚌 M45 Bus **U Richard-Wagner-Platz** **About me:** Hi, my name is Anastasia. I started this writing club back in May 2025. Since then, it has been hosted weekly at the Heinrich Schulz Library (who is kind enough to allow us to use this room for free). Over this time, I’ve been privileged to meet some of the most creative and kind minds in Berlin. And I would be happy if you joined us. Whether you're an experienced writer or just at the beginning of your journey, you're welcome. If you know how to hold a pen or how to type, there will always be a space for you. Let's write together!

Join us for intermediate and advanced play on outdoor 2v2 courts. If you are not yet at the intermediate level (F1+) or want to play 3v3/4v4, sign up via [the simultaneous event](https://www.meetup.com/berlin-volley/events/) instead. We play with beach rules: do not use open hands for the first or last touches, do not touch the net, etc. We overbook slightly to ensure we have enough players and to allow individuals to take breaks. After playing, you can join us for socials with drinks and snacks at the bar area. It's recommended that you come 10 minutes early so you have time to change and find the fields. If it is your first time, 15 minutes might be even better. You can join whatever court you like and move between courts during the event. Hike from Lübben (Spreewald) to Schlepzig
Hike from Lübben (Spreewald) to Schlepzig
Join us for our second hike of the summer! We will start by meeting at (or at least boarding) the **10.40 RE2 (3112)** at **Ostkreuz** station, **Platform 1**. We will arrive at Lübben (Spreewald) at 11.25. *Note that if you miss this train, then the next one does not arrive until 11.56, so you will certainly miss us and won't be able to catch up!* The hike will go from Lübben to Schlepzig, along the canals and lakes of the beautiful Spreewald region. *(See photos for a rough route -- this is not necessarily accurate!)* The walk will be about 15 km and take about 4-5 hours. Bring lunch, snacks & water, comfortable walking shoes, and maybe even some sunglasses. We will stop a couple of places along the way, but will not stop long enough to order food, so bring your lunch! At the end of the walk, in Schlepzig, there is a Whisky brewery and a Biergarten. We will visit one or both. You can also get food at both. Then, we will take the 18:57 bus back to the starting point of Lübben Bahnhof. From there, we will catch the 19.34 RE2 (3129) back to Ostkreuz, arriving at 20.23. *(If you really want to, and if we get to Schlepzig in time, then you can also take the 16.52 bus to Lübben, then the 17.34 RE2 back to Berlin.)* **Note: We will reschedule this if the weather is too rainy. So definitely check back here before going!**

🌞 Summer on a Pankow Terrace: All-You-Can-Eat Bánh Xèo
🌞 Summer on a Pankow Terrace: All-You-Can-Eat Bánh Xèo
**Welcome to homecooked stories by Trang** In Vietnam, Bánh Xèo isn’t something I would order as a carefully plated dish in a restaurant. It’s what happens when friends gather around a street vendor late at night. Someone orders a stack of crispy pancakes for the table. Everyone wraps pieces in lettuce and herbs, dips them into fish sauce, and keeps ordering more until the whole group is full. This summer, I want to recreate a little bit of that feeling in Berlin. Join me on my terrace in Pankow for an all-you-can-eat Bánh Xèo feast. I’ll be making fresh Bánh Xèo throughout the afternoon, served with herbs, lettuce, and dipping sauce. And because it’s summer, we’ll finish with a homemade Vietnamese banana coconut ice cream. Whether you come alone or bring a friend, expect a relaxed Sunday afternoon of good food and conversation with new people. What’s included: • Unlimited homemade Bánh Xèo • Fresh herbs, lettuce, and dipping sauce • Homemade Vietnamese banana coconut ice cream • Tea, coffee & water included Feel free to bring your own (non-)alcoholic drinks. No vegan or vegetarian option will be available for this dinner. **Good to Know** **📍 Location:** Pankow, Berlin (M2 tram stop Prenzlauer Promenade/Am Steinberg — exact address shared after RSVP) **💶 Contribution:** €33 per person **👥 Seats:** Limited to 8 guests Payment link will be shared after RSVP confirmation. We are an English-language event with a k!nky vibe but everyone who is open-minded with a good sense of humour is welcome! Dress up in fetish or just dress however you want!*** **HOST:** **L’aDios – Liliana Velásquez** Liliana Velásquez is forever a New York City gal. Her tough love Latinx charm will have you laughing uncontrollably as she relates how learning to set boundaries led to great comedic moments. She has Shamelessly self-produced multiple shows and empowers her art with her activism. As a SW, Doula, and Entertainer, her performances are bound to leave you both entertained and slightly scared. **HEADLINER:** **Teddy Hall** Since 2017 Teddy Hall has been performing all over Europe. Presenting a uniquely introspective and self-reflective brand of comedy, Teddy's raw and authentic style has led to him headlining shows across Europe and featuring on television in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Romania, not to mention selling out shows in more than 10 countries. Teddy's comedy veers from the profound to the inane with a fundamentally empathetic and optimistic view on life. In 2025, Teddy's show SLAYBOY won "Best Stand Up Comedy" at Reykjavik Fringe Festival and was taken for runs at Barcelona Fringe, Tallinn Fringe, and Adelaide Fringe. Teddy was nominated for a Swiss Comedy Award 2022 was also featured on Comedy Central DE Roast Battle. He is also the first mainland European comedian to be featured on LMAOF, the OnlyFans Comedy Production. Teddy has opened for Todd Barry, Alok, Elf Lyons, Victor Patrascan, Gianmarco Soresi, Dragos, Ashley Gavin, Robby Slowik, Mike Rice, Patrick Spicer, Casey Balsham, Emma Dalenberg, Vidura BR, and many more. He attended the École Philippe Gaulier and has trained in clown with Piotr Sikora and Dan Lees. As a bisexual (well, pan, but he says “bi” so the normies understand) his destinations have varied from Vagina Village to Buttopia, with regular detours to Nipple City. He consistently goes to therapy to try to figure out why he likes what he likes, but he's too scared to actually find out. **GUEST:** **Maya Upchurch** Maya Upchurch is ranty, wild and morally corrupt. Inspired by the likes of Bill Hicks, Bill Burr and Joan Rivers, she's a high-energy force of Gen-Z nature who lacks the ability to speak of anything other than exactly what's on her mind. Based out of Berlin, she's got a truckload of tales from the European capital of hedonism and her Polish/American background means she really knows how to take a shot. While Maya most certainly will make fun of everyone and everything on her path, her favorite person to roast is undoubtedly herself. Bringing light to her time-wasting habits, irrational anxieties, and dependence on technology, she believes that "punching up" is best done when it’s an uppercut to yourself. Maya started doing standup in 2020, but shortly after her first set there was lockdown because China was scared of her power. Since then, she's done shows all around Europe, was featured in The New York Times, performed with Don't Tell Comedy, opened for the likes of Ashley Gavin, Todd Barry and April Macie and did all sorts of other really cool and exciting stuff. Please note that the lineup for this show may change due to unforeseen circumstances, however we always promise high-quality sexy comedy. Let’s meet and discuss John Updike's Rabbit, Run, the first in his series of four novels following the life, hopes, and disappointments of former local basketball star, Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom, as he fitfully confronts and evades adulthood.
