Space and Sustainability: World Space Week 2022

For World Space Week 2022, join the NZSSA and Wellington Space Enthusiasts and Professionals Meetup for a discussion of space and sustainability. We are delighted to host the following two speakers:

  • Dimitri Geidelberg, acting Team Leader - Space Policy at the New Zealand Space Agency, will be talking about sustainability in and from space.
  • Faun Watson, a postgraduate physics student at VUW researching the effects of plasma on satellites, will be talking about the issue of space junk.

The talks, beginning at 5:30pm, will be preceded by a summary of recent space developments in NZ and abroad by the president of the New Zealand Students' Space Association, Daniel Wrench.
