* MAY FEATURED RIDE #2: SCU Quad County Metric

Details

This is one of our two May Featured Rides, hosted by Suburban Cyclists Unlimited (SCU) (http://suburbancyclists.org/).

Every month, Team Red has a featured ride where we urge all of our members to participate. For those that can't make or fundraise for the Newark Tour de Cure featured ride option, the SCU Quad County Metric is a beautiful ride - known for it's great food and wonderful route, it's becoming a must-do classic in the area. Join us with your Team Red or Red Rider kits in a show of force to promote our cause - the fight against diabetes.

Visit the SCU Quad County Metric site (https://www.bikereg.com/Net/15559) for full details and to register.

$30 registration, no fundraising required 21, 31, 45, or 68 mile routes 53 and 76 mile variations extend the 45 and 68 mile routes with 1,200 additional feet of Intensive Climbing Units!

The Quad County Metric is SCU's premiere spring ride, now in its 12th year. It begins at beautiful Green Lane Park in Upper Montgomery County and continues through Berks, Lehigh, and Bucks Counties before returning to the park.

There are rides for all ages and abilities, so how much you 'work' on your day off it is up to you! Road riders can choose from basic (21 mi), extended (31 mi/45 mi), or Metric Century+ (68 mi) routes. If you are willing to put in some overtime, try the Intensive Climbing Unit: an extra 1200 feet of elevation over 8mi that will truly leave you feeling like the boss! The Climbing Challenge is available on both the 45 mi and 68 mi rides extending them to 53 mi and 76 mi respectively.
