Collaborating with Designers

Details
For March, we will have a talk about communication and collaboration! Designers and developers often have specific goals when creating interactive experiences. Because our creative processes overlap and influence one another, knowing each other’s considerations is key to designing and implementing experiences that are usable and performant. In this presentation, we will see how this balance applies to data visualization.
A bit about our presenter:
Amanda Cheung (@acacheung (https://twitter.com/acacheung)) is one of your Meetup organizers and the lead UX developer at DockYard (https://dockyard.com/). She is always trying to improve the designer-developer relationship. Passionate about accessibility and CSS architecture, Amanda is also an adjunct professor at MassArt and a teacher for Girl Develop It.
General details:
Doors open at 6:30pm for food and drinks, which will be provided by Vermonster. The talk will start at 7pm. Unfortunately, while Vermonster's old brick building has a lot of charm, it does not have an elevator. We wish that weren't the case.
