Designing for Inclusion with Media Queries

Details

Did you know that media queries aren’t just limited to screen size? This talk will dive into some lesser-known media queries that can help developers and designers create experiences for people browsing the web using assistive technologies.

A bit about our presenter:

Eric Bailey (@ericwbailey (https://twitter.com/ericwbailey)) is a Boston-based user experience designer who helps create straightforward solutions that address a person’s practical, physical, cognitive, and emotional needs using accessible, performant, device-agnostic technology. He is also an organizer for CodePen Boston (https://www.meetup.com/CodePen-Boston/)!

General details:

Doors open at 6:30pm for food and drinks sponsored by Vermonster. The talk will start at 7pm.

Unfortunately, while Vermonster’s old brick building has a lot of charm, it also has a lot of stairs, and does not have an elevator. We wish that wasn’t the case.

We will try to live stream the event and post it to our Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB-Q0Af4p8A23QTnUxg-fgg). Please check this page for the link on the date of the event.
