Saturday Night Special Mortality Movie: Home Funeral Comedy

It's summertime, and Death Cafe/Mortality Movie host Gail Rubin has an outdoor movie projection system! You are invited to come to her home for a Saturday night outdoor screening of a Mortality Movie. We'll watch a film related to end-of-life issues and have a short discussion afterwards.

For this Saturday night special screening, we'll look at one of the two versions of Death at a Funeral—the 2007 British original or the 2010 American remake. They are prime Mortality Movies because they confront the inevitability of death with outrageous humor, family dysfunction, and unexpected revelations... all at a funeral. What better setting to unpack life’s messiness than around a casket?
