Mortality Movies at Home: Big Hero Six
Details
Death Cafe/Mortality Movie host Gail Rubin invites to come to her home to screen a Mortality Movie. We'll watch a film related to end-of-life issues and have a short discussion afterwards.
At this Meetup, we'll watch the animated movie Big Hero Six from 2014. Hiro Hamada’s emotional journey begins with the death of his brother Tadashi, who created a healthcare robot called Baymax. Hiro tries to turn Baymax into a weapon of vengeance, but the robot is programmed to heal physical and emotional pain. The film explores themes of grief and loss, love and legacy, and how grief can shape our lives.
This Meetup is limited to 15 people max. The event is free (donations welcome), and we'll have popcorn and other snacks. RSVP for a direct message for the address. Hope to see you there!
