Mortality Movies at Home: Being There
Details
Death Cafe/Mortality Movie host Gail Rubin invites to come to her home to screen a Mortality Movie. We'll watch a film related to end-of-life issues and have a short discussion afterwards.
It's Valentine's Day! We have selected Being There (1979 – 2 hr. 10 min.) for this evening's film. Hal Ashby, who directed Harold and Maude, also directed this film. Peter Sellers plays Chance, a simple-minded gardener who has lived his entire life secluded in the Washington, D.C. townhouse of a wealthy man. When the old man dies, he is forced out into the world to fend for himself. Self-love by Shirley MacLaine!
This Meetup is limited to 15 people max. The event is free (donations welcome), and we'll have popcorn and other snacks. RSVP for a direct message for the address. Hope to see you there!
