Mortality Movies at Home: Around the Bend

The next Mortality Movie Night features Around the Bend (2004 – R. 1 hr. 25 min.) This film about a multi-generational road trip is prompted by a grandfather’s death and his unconventional final wishes for his cremated remains. Themes include planning one’s own unconventional funeral arrangements, healing estranged family connections, embracing mortality with intention, and an exploration of how some men handle grief. Stars include Christopher Walken, Michael Caine and Josh Lucas.
