Mortality Movies at Home: Up

The next Mortality Movie Night features Up (2009 – PG, 1 hr. 36 min.) This animated fantasy takes 78-year-old widower Carl on the adventures he wanted to take with his wife Ellie. Although she has died, his devotion to her drives him to apply his talent with balloons to lift their house out of the city and fly to South America. Themes include grief and continuing bonds, aging and regret, new relationships as healing, and letting go of the burdens of the past.
