Mortality Movies at Home: A Single Man
Details
The next Mortality Movie Night features A Single Man (2009 – R, 1 hr. 39 min.) Set in Los Angeles in 1962, George, a British college professor played by Colin Firth, is mired in grief over the death of his partner, Jim. In a deeply homophobic era, George is denied the usual rituals of mourning. This film provides an opportunity to discuss disenfranchised grief, isolation in loss, and intuitive grieving.
These Meetups are limited to 15 people max. The event is free (donations welcome), and we'll have popcorn and other snacks. RSVP for a direct message for the address. Hope to see you there!
