At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Death Cafes are held in over 82 countries and there have been over 15,000 Cafes to date since 2011.

Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.

A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death- and living!- with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session. These are free, not-for-profit community events. The only requirement is to show up with an open and curious mind and respect for all attendees.
