Baby Loss and Memorial Gathering
You are warmly invited to join us for a gathering to remember and honour all babies gone too soon.
We remember the babies born sleeping; those carried for the shortest or longest time but never held in our arms; those who were held but could not be taken home; and those who came home but could not stay.
On October 15th, we will join the International Wave of Light, lighting candles at 7pm local time in memory of babies who have died. As candles are lit around the world, a continuous wave of light travels across the time zones, creating a beautiful global tribute.
It is a time to remember, to grieve, to honour each precious life, and to acknowledge the love and tender bond that remains.
Please join us at the Baby Wall at Wānaka Cemetery at 6:45pm.
In the event of bad weather, we will meet in the foyer of the Anglican Church on Upton Street, beside the Wānaka Community Hub.
Everyone is welcome.
