Death Cafe is a global movement, started in Europe in 2011, dedicated to taking death (the elephant in the room) as a taboo topic and discussing it publicly. The mission is "to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their (finite) lives." Please join us for respectful conversations, thoughts, feelings, questions and concerns about any aspect of death and dying. People around the world are discussing: What gives my life meaning? Before I die I want to___? What is, and how do I prepare for a good death? How do I help family members when they are approaching the end of life? How does talking about death improve my life? Fears and concerns about death, and much, much more! Death Cafe's are not a support group, therapy, counseling, or workshop. It is simply a gathering together of people in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, sharing thought provoking, engaging, life-affirming conversations over food and drink. Death Cafe's are open to all lifestyles, faiths and religions (we ask; no proselytizing, please).
