“Not long after the death of her husband from an incurable neurological disease, Dr. Anne Turner (played by Julie Walters) is diagnosed with a near identical illness. With determined rationality, Anne decides that when her illness reaches a critical point, she will take her own life. To do this, she needs her children's support, but the more her children struggle to understand their mother's desire to die, the further they pull apart and the magnitude of the situation threatens to tear the family to pieces.”
