It's no secret that social media isn't all good. The sites are seemingly quite addictive and users often only showcase the very best of their lives leaving others with a distorted view of reality. Are minors ready to handle the negatives of this powerful 'tool'? Should we shield them from it until they're cognitively better prepared to deal with such negatives? Or does a better solution lie in educating them how best to use these sites safely?
