Decoding Consciousness was originally an online community I grew on Clubhouse to 12.5K+ members, but the app was destroyed by the founders so am hoping to get a group up and running again on a new platform.
I just moved to Boynton Beach and remembered that trying to make friends as an adult is weird. As you will notice the topics I have listed on this meetup group are a a bit all over the place, so if any of them interest you feel free to stop by and say hi!
Since I'm starting this group again from zero, I will likely schedule a meet & greet soon and see what happens from there lol.
I've typically hosted discussions that cover a wide range of topics related to decoding the concept of consciousness through various lenses. I've also held discussion groups where we do a deep dive into relevant movies or sci-fi (Ex. The Matrix, Twilight Zone, Star Trek, etc.) and discuss specific themes from media as they relate back to our understanding of reality and the nature of consciousness.
Topics can range from philosophy, religion, machine learning, math, ancient teachings, conspiracy theories, etymology, science fiction, psychology... any topic is fair game, and ALL views are welcome!
This a group intended for deep, thoughtful, and intellectual discussion - and we only ask for everyone to come with an open mind - meaning you are always open to the possibility of being wrong :) ...Nobody likes a know it all, or people who interrupt before someone is done making a point. There are no right answers, and we will make sure all view points are heard. Also, please don't be that one person who feels obligated to inject politics into every conversation - It's extremely cringe... regardless of which side you're on.
If you consider yourself a deep thinker, enjoy questioning the nature of reality, are always looking for new ways expand and understand your own consciousness, and don't mind your views being challenged (whatever they may be) - feel free to join us! :)
