Is The Earth Flat? (open discussion, all views welcome)

In these days with the Epstein files, Obama and Trump discussing aliens… The way I see it all conspiracy theories are now on the table. For the Flat Earth community I don’t see this movement necessarily growing or shrinking. It seems most people have already made up their minds on this matter, but can we truly look at this objectively, set aside all bias and come to the most logical conclusion with the information we have? Let’s have it and see if anyone can learn anything new. Is the Earth Flat?

Do we have the necessary tools to truly settle this matter once and for all? Or does this remain a mystery with circumstantial evidence supporting one conclusion over another? What makes this a conspiracy theory is the fact that in order for Flat Earth to be true, this would mean many people in high up places are actively *hiding* information from us pertaining to the shape of the Earth. It is the cover up element that makes this a conspiracy theory. Is there evidence that there is any cover up?

How important is it that we believe one way or the other? For most of human history it was believed to be flat, but now we mostly believe it to be round. Are we doing any harm to ourselves by believing the wrong thing? Should Flat & Round Earthers be able to live in harmony with their different views? Do you trust your doctor if they happen to have wild views on this subject?

I personally believe the Earth is round, but I respect people who take the time to think it through and come to their own conclusions rather than blindly trusting our institutions. Flat Earthers tend to think for themselves more than Round Earthers which I respect even though we don’t come to the same conclusion. It is worth taking the time to have a position and give a sound reason for your views, instead of quickly dismissing the opposite side.
