This is a casual discussion event open to all views and perspectives. Respect for others is a must (or at least try).

The problem of evil is considered to be a silver bullet argument against God’s existence (or perhaps the Christian God or other specific gods). Is this a good argument to reject God’s existence? We will explore this idea and try our best to take it to its logical conclusion, understanding all sides.

Here is the Problem of Evil in a nut’s hell: If a God is described as 1) All Knowing, 2) All Powerful, and 3) All Loving, why would such a God allow us to suffer? It is concluded in this argument that because suffering exists, that any God that could possibly exist cannot contain these 3 traits simultaneously, as they seem to conflict with each other.

What are your thoughts? Come join us for a fun and though-provoking discussion! All views welcome, the more diversity of opinions the better.

Rule Of Etiquette: The goal is to have a productive free-flowing discussion, while also giving everyone a fair chance to participate accordingly. If you have any trouble getting a word in, please use the "Raise Hand" feature. We have a loosely enforced 3 minute timer but please be mindful of your time and the number of people waiting, and know that you can always put yourself back in the rotation for additional talking points. It is also encouraged to engage with others on your turn so that we can have more of a free-flowing dialog, rather than each of us just taking turns on our soap boxes.

Hope you can join us!
