Topic: Holding Up a Mirror - The Stories that Shape Our Realities

Much of what we experience in life is shaped not only by events themselves, but by the stories we tell ourselves about those events. These inner narratives influence how we interpret challenges, understand our relationships, and decide what we believe is possible. Over time, those stories can become so familiar that we stop hearing them as stories and begin experiencing them as reality.

But the reality we see may not be the same as the one seen by the person sitting next to us.

This month’s discussion invites us to “hold up a mirror” to the narratives we carry within us. Where do the stories we tell ourselves come from? What do they reveal to us about ourselves? How do they shape the way we respond to the ups and downs of life? And how might our lives change if we became more aware of the narratives quietly guiding our decisions and relationships? Together we’ll explore how our inner stories shape identity, perspective, and possibility—and what it might mean to question or rewrite those stories.

Whether you're drawn to philosophical questions, personal reflection, or simply thoughtful conversation, you’re welcome to join us. Join us as we explore these questions and more in our ongoing monthly discussion series, where we aim to go deeper into what shapes our shared human experience.
