Blending rare archival footage with sharp narration by actor Bjarne Mädel, The Helsinki Effect dives into the high-stakes Cold War negotiations of the 1975 Helsinki Conference. With satirical flair and AI-generated voiceovers of once-secret documents, the film brings political figures of the era to life in a way that’s both surreal and strikingly authentic.

🍿 What to Expect
We’ll meet up at the cinema bar around 5:45 PM to say hi and bond over our extremely professional film opinions. At 6:15 PM, we go full cinema mode — no talking, just feelings. After the movie (around 8:00 PM) we’ll hang out in front of the cinema for some casual hot takes, over-analysis, and probably someone pretending they “saw that twist coming.”
Feel free to stick around — it’s group therapy time for confused viewers.
