**********************

From this year, we will have our social media channels to broadcast our event, also will post interesting articles. We will share the event content to whom may need it(with condition). We will have our website and membership etc.

For this event we will present you couple of real cases that how AI deep learning technologies have been applied to startup companies. Also we have one presentation is not from startups directly, but it is from the tooling point of view to show how startups can be more powerful enlighten by them.

[18:45-18:55] Welcome and opening from an introduction of NovaUCD

[18:55-19:10] Dr. Michael Scriney will give us a short presentation for the updates from Deep Learning Dublin

[19:10 - 19:35]
By Dr. Bruno Voisin from ICHEC

Title: Deep Learning for Microscopy Image Analysis

Abstract:
In the context of an Enterprise Ireland funded study, ICHEC and Telenostic have investigated the use of deep learning to automate the detection and identification of parasite eggs on microscopy images that is currently done by experts in a laboratory. After introducing the partners and the veterinary diagnostic context, we will look at the data and how the approach evolved from an ad hoc simple CNN binary classifier to the deployment of a multiclass state-of-the-art single-shot detector.
Final considerations will be given to some of the lessons learned during the work, as well as generic advice for startups with an interest in deep learning.

[19:35 - 20:00]
By
Mr. Beth Jochim, Co-Founder and Director at Cueva Gallery,
Dr. Claudia Orellana-Rodriguez, Co-Founder and Artistic AI Engineer,
Dr. Ernesto Diaz-Aviles, Co-Founder and Creative AI Geek

Title:
The Joy of Neural Painting: The countless possibilities of AI applied to art and beyond

Abstract:
In this talk, we present our Creative AI initiative: Cueva Gallery, an online gallery that showcases unique works generated or inspired by AI. The goal of Cueva is to make more accessible the advances of AI to groups of artists who do not necessarily have a tech background.

We will describe three collections: Residual, Ixchel, and Dreaming of Electric Sheep, and the corresponding techniques used to create the artwork in them, namely Neural Painters, GANs, DCGANs, and super resolution.

[20:00 - 20:25]
By
Mr. Wesley Wang, Co-Founder & CEO at Lingowl Technology

Topic:
The power of A.I. in language learning

Abstract:
GoMandarin is a Chinese learning platform powered by our proprietary A.I. technology and algorithm. In this talk, I will showcase our platform and discuss how we develop the neural networks based pitch recognition algorithm, and how it helps people speak Chinese.
