What we’re about
## Welcome Experienced Deep Learners! ##
(This group is not for the beginners)
Objective:
This is a group for the passionate "Deep Learner" who put a lot of time on building, studying, playing around with deep neural network models. We started this group to meet other Deep Learners to dig deeper into the theories and technical stuff behind all kind of state-of-the-art deep neural network models.
** We are going to read the research papers and implement the state-of-the-art models. Therefore, a solid foundation in deep learning is expected.
Our Goals
In this meetup, we will:
- Review some of the latest academic papers/books and implement them by real coding.
- Discuss fast prototyping and the Deep Learning's application pipeline.
- Take a real problem and build the models to solve it together.
- And danything about Deep Learning.
Our topics will include Deep Reinforcement Learning, Computer Vision, NLP and all other kinds of applications which need to utilize deep neural networks.
What this Meetup is NOT:
• This is a definite study group kind of meetup, which has ZERO element of business. If you are any sale person in any company, please find another group to sale your stuff.
• It is NOT a lecture series, but a chance to meet with like-minded "Deep Learners", share and exchange knowledge and ideas.
For those who want to learning more about Deep Learning, you can now find the Andrew Ng's Deep Learning courses in Coursera:

Our Expectations
## Questions to ask yourself if you should join us##
• Basic Neural Network Models Building [A MUST to join this meetup]
(Have you ever built any neural net models with Tensorflow/PyTorch/Caffe/Theano ?)
• Machine Learning Basic
(At least understand the topics in Andrew Ng Coursera’s Machine Learning course)
• Statistics and Probability Basic
(At least understand the concepts in Deep Learning Book’s Chapter 3 [Probability and Information Theory] by Ian Goodfellow)
• Can you spend ~1 hour a week to read the deep learning materials? We are a study group so everyone in the group would have a chance to present.
If you are also passionate in deep learning and say Yes to all the above questions, we are happy to meet you in our group!
