About this event:
The expression of racist sentiment and attacks has risen over the past few years and research has shown that that exposure to racism severely and negatively impacts mental and physical health over time and across the life course. Source: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2352827322001963To support individual and collective healing, this event has been curated to create a safe space for Black people to:
- Reflect on the psychological, emotional and physical impact of racism
- Identify and discuss tools for support, healing and wellbeing
- Evoke a sense of joy and wellbeing through dance
Note: Caribbean food will be sold at this event.

A reflective session for you to talk about your experience and connect with its impact in the (your) body - with psychotherapist Martina Jean-Jaques

Let's dance - with DJs playing deep electronic music for your mind, body & soul
Who can attend:
To support the creation of a psychogically safe space, this event is open to Black people only. Future events are being planned for people of all backgrounds, ethnicities and heritages to discuss racism and other "Deep Talk" topics.
