About us

Are you tired of small talk and looking for real connection?

As we move into the "afternoon" of our lives, many of us find ourselves at a crossroads. We have a lifetime of experience, yet we often lack a safe space to share the insights, transitions, and questions that define this stage. If you are looking to build a community of like-minded individuals and reduce the noise of everyday life, you’ve found your circle.

What We Are About
Deep Water Conversations is a recurring roundtable series designed for those 50 and better. We step away from the shallow end of superficial social interaction to dive into the topics that truly matter. This is a space where your voice is heard and your journey is respected.

Our Ground Rules
To ensure a high-quality experience for everyone, our conversations are strictly:
• Non-Political & Non-Religious: We focus on shared human experience rather than divisive ideologies.
• Non-Blaming & Non-Judgemental: This is a safe harbor for honest reflection.
• Safe & Confidential: What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.

What We Discuss
Each meeting features a new theme centered on "making sense" of our world, such as:
• Navigating life transitions and new stages.
• Rediscovering meaning and purpose after 50.
• The realities of loneliness and the antidote of community.
• Practicing forgiveness and finding inner peace.

Meeting Format
We value your time and the quality of the dialogue. Our meetings follow a simple, effective flow:

  1. Introductions: A brief moment to land and meet your peers.
  2. Topic Introduction: Luc Bouchard introduces the day's theme to spark reflection.
  3. Roundtable Conversation: Open, guided group discussion where everyone has the opportunity to share or simply listen.
