NeurIPS at Dessa, Part 1

Hello,

We are proud to announce that we have been selected by NeurIPS as an official Toronto meetup partner for the 2019 conference!

Context: NeurIPS 2019 (Neural Information Processing Systems Conference) is taking place from December 8-14, in Vancouver, B.C. In an effort to make the conference even more inclusive, NeurIPS has connected with a network of meetup hosts across the globe, where organizations like Dessa can leverage conference videos, and live local content to bring the action to you.

That said, we will be kicking the week off on December 9th at 5:30pm with an action-packed evening! We will be sharing 3 concurrent streams at the Dessa office in Toronto:

1. We will provide a live-stream of the 14th Annual WiML (Women in Machine Learning) Workshop, where you will be able to enjoy talks on adversarial manipulation of attention-based explanations, reinforcement learning of human preferences in dialogue, and more! 3. Finally, Dessa will be presenting an exciting deepfake detection project that we are currently developing. The latest on our detection work was recently featured in the New York Times: http://tiny.cc/nytdetection.
