Sony Photography Awards @ Somerset House & Southbank Drinks

The Sony World Photography Awards, is the world’s biggest photography competition. Join Cosmopolitan Social to experience the best in contemporary photography this Spring with Over 600 talented photographers on display. See inspiring and thought-provoking images from around the globe.

• An exclusive selection of large-scale color work by our renowned Outstanding Contribution to Photography recipient, Candida Höfer.

Candida Höfer is one of the world’s foremost contemporary photographers. Renowned for her precise methodology and technique, Höfer’s internationally recognized work often takes the form of large-format color photography. The exhibition will include three of her most notable large-scale pieces: Musée du Louvre Paris XXI 2005; Hermitage St. Petersburg VIII 2014 and Trinity College Library Dublin I 2004. These are on loan from Ben Brown Fine Arts, London.

Winning and shortlisted photo's will be exhibited at the stunning Somerset House (https://www.somersethouse.org.uk/whats-on/2018-sony-world-photography-awards). If you haven't been before, the architecture and setting is worth visiting alone.

Concessions: £8

Tickets can be used anytime between 10am to 8pm on Saturday 21st April or Sunday 22nd April. Please make sure to book your tickets as soon as possible, as opening weekend tickets tend to sell fast.

If that wasn't enough, Somerset House is also hosting a number of free exhibitions which we can also visit including an interactive showcase by Somerset House Studios artists Werkflow featuring a playable demo of upcoming video game Sovereign.
