As digital transformation accelerates, cybersecurity is no longer just a technical concern — it is becoming a regulatory, strategic, and existential challenge for companies operating critical systems and digital infrastructure.
Join us on Jan 20 at Cloudworks 22@ Barcelona for an in-depth evening with Dr. Jesus Molina and Gerard Cervelló, exploring how regulation, cryptography, and emerging threats are reshaping the way we design, build, and secure technology.

When: Tuesday, January 20th, 18:30 – 21:30
Where: Cloudworks 22@, Carrer de Pere IV, 64, Sant Martí, 08005 Barcelona
Cost: Completely free – just register on Meetup

Our Speakers

Dr. Jesus Molina – CRA and NIS2: How Cybersecurity Regulation Will Redefine Engineering
Dr. Jesus Molina is a cybersecurity executive and researcher with more than 20 years of experience across OT and IT security, specializing in rail, manufacturing, and critical infrastructure worldwide. He has led complex cybersecurity programs protecting operations control centers, rolling stock, and signaling systems across multiple continents.
With a background in offensive security, trusted computing, and hardware-based intrusion detection, Jesus has authored key industrial security frameworks, multiple patents, and widely cited research. He actively contributes to global security initiatives through the World Economic Forum, the Industrial Internet Consortium, and other international bodies — bridging regulation, engineering, and real-world deployment.

Gerard Cervelló – Post-Quantum Security: Today’s Reality
Gerard Cervelló is a strategic C-level executive, founder, and technology advisor with extensive experience in cybersecurity, cryptography, blockchain, and mission-critical systems. With a Telecommunications Engineering background, he operates at the intersection of deep technology, business strategy, and execution.
Having scaled multiple start-ups and scale-ups, Gerard has led go-to-market strategies, fundraising efforts, and strategic transactions across the private and public sectors. As a co-author of several patents, he brings a pragmatic perspective on how emerging cryptographic threats — including post-quantum risks — are already impacting today’s security decisions.

What’s In It For You?
Cybersecurity is entering a new era — shaped by regulation, geopolitics, and fundamental changes in cryptography.
In this DeepTech Talks edition, Jesus and Gerard will explore:

  • How CRA and NIS2 are changing engineering responsibilities and system design
  • What post-quantum security means today — not in theory, but in practice
  • The impact of regulation on critical infrastructure and industrial systems
  • How organizations can prepare without slowing innovation

Expect a grounded, experience-driven discussion connecting policy, technology, and real-world constraints.

Who Should Come?

  • Security engineers and architects
  • CTOs, CISOs, and technology leaders
  • Engineers working in critical infrastructure, OT, or regulated industries
  • Founders and product leaders building secure systems
  • Anyone interested in the future of cybersecurity beyond buzzwords
