πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ DC862 is a group of technology and security enthusiasts who love learning, making things and promoting positive growth in the community. We have been an official DCG since September 2023. Our members are very active in the community with many of our members also participating in the other DCGs, Toools, the DC Goons, as well as volunteering for organizations like Laptop Upcycle.

We accept anyone who is interested in joining, regardless of their location, skillset, identity, etc.

Our goal is to encourage technological literacy and safety through continued learning, information sharing, and discovery.

We meet every month on Discord and in Montclair, NJ. We also meet at project sites and for events, primarily in the 862 area of New Jersey, USA.

Members are encouraged to participate by sharing their knowledge and experience. We do a lot of hands-on demonstrations and we get exclusive discounts and insight on product releases from our friends and group members.

We offer opportunities to serve the community and earn education credits. We also offer assistance with CTFs and projects as a good friend would. Every member is welcome to suggest topics or participate in projects/talks but it isn't a requirement. The focus is always on having a good time, learning, and making new friends.
