Speaker Bios:
David Krett is a former banker, consultant, entrepreneur, mentor, and adviser. He is an active blockchain developer building and architecting the future of finance as a contributor to the Collateral Engineering Services - Core Unit at MakerDAO. MakerDAO is a peer-to-peer permissionless decentralized protocol based on the Ethereum network that facilitates borrowing, lending, and savings. The protocol allows you to borrow funds denominated in freshly minted DAI against collateral deposited in Maker's collateral vaults. Currently, DAI is the leading decentralized stablecoin with over $6 billion outstanding. Governance decisions with respect to the operation of the protocol are voted on by MKR token holders which is the governance token for Maker.
Tom Amiri is an active DeFi user, product designer and co-founder of Paladin, a DeFi governance protocol. Paladin focuses on key DeFi ecosystems and tailors services for token holders like AAVE and Curve. Ethereum-based, Paladin is unlocking the value of governance through token-voting and other token utilities with a mission to scale DeFi.
Alex Altman is the COO of Validation Cloud, a leading enterprise-grade Web3 infrastructure company. An established leader in the crypto space, Alex has over six years of experience as an executive and investor. Alex will give an overview of Validation Cloud's enterprise-grade Web3 infrastructure including Javelin, the world's fastest node infrastructure. Alex will share how Javelin can help power DeFi and share Validation Cloud's history and experience in the industry.
Sponsors:
Paladin empowers DeFi governance through governance markets and services to unlock more value for all stakeholders.
Paladin offers the only auto-compounding product for stkAAVE through its Paladin lending pools which allow borrowers to rent voting power. For vote-locked ecosystems like Curve and Balancer, Paladin’s Warden platform unlocks multiple streams of cash flow for token holders by selling their token utilities and facilitating voting incentives from DAOs like Liquity and Threshold.
The protocol is governed by its community of PAL holders with a tiered tokenomics system that allows for staking and locking, while other modules are in development to synergize the entire Paladin ecosystem.

Conflux Network is a permissionless Layer 1 public blockchain that connects decentralized economies across borders & protocols and operates as a PoW/PoS hybrid chain. Currently, Conflux is one of the Top 5 most profitable chains for PoW miners and is the only regulatory-compliant, public, and permissionless blockchain in China.
Conflux's token economy is built around the $CFX token, which is not only used to pay transaction fees, but also allows participation in network governance and incentivizes miners. The network has 21 million unique wallets, as well as a growing ecosystem that includes its own DEX (Swappi) as well as supporting cross-chain collaboration with main bridges (ShuttleFlow, Meson, Multichain, cBridge, everPay).
As the only regulatory-compliant public blockchain in China, Conflux provides a unique advantage for projects building and expanding into Asia. In the region, Conflux has collaborated with global brands and government entities on blockchain and metaverse initiatives, including the city of Shanghai, McDonald's China, and Oreos.
