Speaker Bio:

Shardul Bansal is a founding engineer at Crucible Labs, where he contributes to advancing decentralized AI through the Bittensor ecosystem . Previously, he founded Enclaved, a company focused on electrical grid topology optimization spun out of Entrepreneur First . Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Shardul worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS), specifically on AWS Cloud Map, where he was instrumental in scaling and designing internet routing solutions serving tens of thousands of customers. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, where as an undergraduate he led UofT.AI, the campus AI group, and organized the largest undergraduate machine‑learning competition focused on climate modeling.

Dr. Morteza Zihayat is the co-founder of Heisenberg Network, a platform delivering real-time, personalized data pipelines for AI agents at scale. Named Canada Research Chair in Human-Centred AI in 2025, he brings over a decade of expertise in AI, data systems, and blockchain to solving one of the most pressing challenges in the AI economy, getting the right data to the right agents at the right time. His work has consistently focused on building AI systems that are ethical, fair, and human-centred, bridging advanced machine learning, information retrieval, and decentralized infrastructure.

Dr. Mehdi Kargar is the co-founder of Heisenberg Network. He is also an Associate Professor of Data Management at Ted Rogers School of Management and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Waterloo. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from York University (2009-2013). His research is published in data management top-tier venues like VLDBJ, PVLDB, ACM SIGMOD, and IEEE ICDE.

Network Description

Bittensor is a decentralized, open-source network designed to create a global, market-driven ecosystem for artificial intelligence. Built on blockchain technology, it enables participants—known as miners and validators—to contribute, share, and monetize machine learning models without relying on centralized platforms. Using its native cryptocurrency, TAO, Bittensor incentivizes high-quality AI outputs through a competitive, reputation-based system where better-performing models earn more rewards. This structure fosters continuous improvement, encourages diverse AI specializations, and aims to democratize access to cutting-edge machine learning capabilities, ultimately forming a distributed intelligence layer for the internet.

Heisenberg Network ("Mori's ChatGPT"): AI agents are transforming industries from decentralized finance to consumer applications, yet most operate with generic, delayed, or irrelevant information. Heisenberg addresses this gap by transforming raw internet and on-chain sources into structured, real-time, and highly personalized context feeds, tailored to each agent’s purpose. Without any coding or infrastructure setup, builders can create and deploy data pipelines that deliver targeted market signals, sentiment insights, and trend analyses directly to their agents or applications. This session will explore how personalized context can dramatically improve AI decision-making, user engagement, and performance in both DeFi and beyond.
