Speaker Bio
Augus is a co-founder and executive director of Lituus Foundation, which is funding the reboot of Augur. He is a cypherpunk maxi who is a fan of the societal potential of prediction markets.
Chris Chung is the CEO & Co-Founder of Titan, a Solana DEX Aggregator as well as Solana’s first Meta Aggregator. Additionally, Chris is actively involved in the Toronto Solana ecosystem, serving as the local ambassador for MonkeDao in Toronto and a member of Superteam Canada. Chris also previously served as the CTO of a cryptocurrency and US equity hedge fund, building out low-latency analytics, back-office reporting, and trading systems.
Alim Khamisa leads DeFi Partnerships & Growth at Optimism, developers of the OP Stack, which enables builders to launch scalable, customizable Layer 2 blockchains and apps with Ethereum-grade security. He previously led Product at DELV (formerly Element Finance), an R&D company focused on DeFi infrastructure and protocol development, including Council (governance system), Element (fixed rates v1), Hyperdrive (fixed rates v2), and DELV Fixed Borrow (collab with Morpho). In 2018, he worked with a team to launch one of Canada’s first industrial-scale crypto-mining ventures from inception through to a public listing on the TSXV and subsequent acquisition. He previously taught in the Blockchain Development Program at George Brown College in Toronto and currently sits on the Program Advisory Committee. Additionally, on the academic front, he authored a chapter titled ‘Token Economies’ in The Emerald Handbook of Blockchain for Business (published March 2021), which focuses on cryptoeconomics and token engineering. Alim is a co-founder of the DeFi Toronto community meetup, which has grown to over 3,000 members since 2019. He holds a Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) from the University of Waterloo and is a designated CPA.
