Camp #10 - Teen Travel Photography Camp for ages 11+

TEEN TRAVEL CAMP - This is a week long, full-day Travel Camp.

Our travel camp is just $689 and covers admission to all the attractions we attend. Camp meets each day at our studio in West Chester at 9:00AM. Travel camp ends at 4:00PM, except Wednesday where we expect to return closer to 6PM-7:00PM depending on traffic. We will spend Monday in the studio learning all about exposure and camera basics with plenty of breaks and practice sessions.

This summer, The Photography Workshop is thrilled to offer an exciting, full-day adventure designed for creative teens who are eager to explore, learn, and refine their photography skills. Departing daily from our West Chester, PA studio, campers will embark on unforgettable day trips to some of the region's most picturesque and inspiring locations.

Day Trips to Iconic Locations:

Tuesday: Philadelphia’s Historic Boat House Row & Water Works
Capture the charm of Boathouse Row's colorful façades reflected in the Schuylkill River. Experiment with angles, framing, and lighting while learning architectural photography techniques. The Philadelphia Water Works offers opportunities for capturing elegant neoclassical structures and scenic riverscapes.

Wednesday: Wildwood & Cape May Seashores
Explore coastal photography at its finest! Campers will photograph dynamic beach scenes, bustling boardwalks, and Wildwood’s vibrant neon signs. In Cape May, the Victorian architecture and serene seascapes provide a perfect contrast for storytelling through the lens.

Thursday: Lake Tobias Wildlife Safari
A wildlife photographer’s dream! From exotic animals to rolling landscapes, campers will have the chance to photograph majestic creatures up close. Guidance on capturing motion, depth, and natural beauty will help bring their wildlife shots to life.

Friday: Longwood Gardens
This lush botanical wonderland offers endless opportunities to capture nature’s intricate details. Teens will experiment with macro photography to highlight the textures and patterns of flowers, as well as practice composing dramatic shots of stunning fountains and expansive landscapes.

Expert Guidance from Professional Photographers throughout the week - campers will receive hands-on instruction from seasoned professionals. They'll learn about composition, lighting, and camera settings, ensuring they gain confidence behind the lens while developing their unique style.

Celebrate with a Gallery Showcase on Friday afternoon, the week will culminate in a celebratory photo gallery exhibit. Campers will showcase their favorite images to family and friends, sharing the stories and skills they've developed during their journey.

The Teen Travel Camp is a perfect blend of creativity, adventure, and skill-building, offering teens an unforgettable experience while developing their passion for photography. Spaces are limited, so secure your spot today!

For our Travel Camp we provide lunch (usually pizza or WAWA) on Mondays. Campers are responsible for their own lunch on our travel days (Tuesday-Friday) and will have a variety of options to purchase on location. Transportation to and from our destinations is included in the camp fee.
