Saddle Up! Wild West in Motion: Cowboys, Cowgirls & Campfire Photography

Step into the spirit of the American West during this extraordinary, action-packed photography workshop featuring cowboys, cowgirls, and beautiful horses in an authentic outdoor setting.
Beginning in the late afternoon, you’ll photograph our riders dressed in traditional Western attire as they ride across open fields, gallop toward the camera, rear their horses, and demonstrate their skills with swinging lassos. Capture powerful action, dramatic expressions, flying dust, detailed portraits, and the incredible connection between each rider and horse.
As the sun begins to sink toward the horizon, we’ll take advantage of the warm golden light to create breathtaking Western portraits, dramatic silhouettes, and cinematic images of riders disappearing into the sunset. You’ll learn how to select the right shutter speeds, camera settings, focus modes, and compositions for both freezing fast-moving action and creating artistic motion blur.
Once darkness falls, the experience continues around a glowing open campfire. Photograph the cowboys and cowgirls gathered together in friendship as firelight illuminates their faces, hats, boots, and Western gear. The combination of warm flames, rising smoke, deep blue evening skies, and authentic storytelling moments will provide opportunities to create truly memorable photographs.
This is a rare opportunity to produce an entire portfolio of Western-inspired images without traveling hundreds of miles to the Southwest. From exciting equestrian action and intimate portraits to glowing sunsets and atmospheric campfire scenes, every portion of this workshop will offer something new and visually inspiring.
