IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Debate Night is capped at 20 participants and often has a waitlist. To keep things fair, please update your RSVP if your plans change so others can attend. Members who RSVP “yes” and do not show up without updating their RSVP more than twice may not be able to attend future debate nights.

Join us for a lively evening of thoughtful banter, disagreement, and local diner food! Our Debate Night is a chance to flex your critical thinking skills in a fun, non-confrontational setting with fellow humanists. Whether you're ready to argue why cellphones ruined society, or would like to play devil's advocate, there's a place for you at the table.

No experience necessary...just bring your curiosity and respectfulness.

### 🕓 Event Schedule

6:10–6:30 PM –* Arrivals & Mingling*
Grab a seat, order your food, and get to know your fellow debaters.

6:30–6:40 PM –* Welcome & Overview*
reminder to keep things respectful! Sticky notes and pens will be shared to write down any debate topics to be chosen at random throughout the night ✍🏾

6:40–7:30 PM –* Main Debates*
We’ll break into small teams and tackle 2–5 topics chosen from the sticky notes.

7:30–7:50 PM –* Open Floor*
Volunteers can pose philosophical questions to the group. Topics discussed in smaller groups can now be shared with everyone to make any final comments or critique. Anything goes, as long as it's respectful.

7:50–8:10 PM –* Wrap-Up & Reflections*
Group check-out, sharing highlights, and final thoughts and compliments before we call it a night.
