Summer Hike At Smithville Park

Details
The hike will Start an End in the parking lot At Smith Woods Park Area 39 E. Railroad Ave, pictured in the feature photo. There are rest rooms along the way and plenty of parking. We will be hiking parts of the White, Red, Blue and Green trails. Also we'll side track around some playing fields for a total distance of about 5 miles. There will be some hills and steps involved. We will go down wooded dirt trails, walk along a crushed gravel path next to Rancocas Creek, go through a historical section of Smithville Park and cross a floating bridge over part of Smithville Lake. We'll leave a painted inspirational rock to mark our presence. And you might find one I left prior to the hike. The Park is diverse and scenic. The trails are a mixture of Terrain. I recommend hiking boots, bug spray and water. I find a hiking stick useful as well. There might be wet spots in some areas. Also, I've added pictures to give you a feel for the trail. Early morning is a great time to hike and try an beat the heat. 🤞 Hope you'll give it a try. Paul
