CRYSTAL LAKE HIKE (DIFFICULT)
Details
Hiking is a good way to burn off some of those Easter calories, we all consumed. And this hike has a little of everything. Some steep hills in the woods, thick perimeter grass along the tree line and even a small stretch of paved path. But mostly rough terrain. There are scenic points on the trail overlooking crystal lake. We'll be hiking in an out through the woods and open land along a tree line. Then back to our starting point. About 3 miles at a moderate 2 mph pace stopping when needed. Bring water. It's a vigorous hike. Also, I recommend waterproof hiking boots (Sneakers don't cut It.) The thick grass holds moisture and the Vigorous trail may have some wet spots as well. Wet Feet and Twisted Ankles Aren't Fun. I find a walking stick extremely useful on the hills. There are Rest Rooms and plenty of parking where we will meet. The entrance to the rear parking lot is off AXE FACTORY RD, USE PIN as pictured in the feature photo. ( NOT THE Rt 130 ENTRANCE. Hopefully, we'll spot some wildlife along the way. I've added pictures to give you a feel for the trail. We'll leave an inspirational painted rock {My Trademark} to mark our presence there. Looking forward to seeing you there. Paul contact # 609-540-2513.
