As the rains retreat and white Kaash Phool (Kans grass) bloom by the Yamuna’s banks nature whispers that Shorot Ritu—Autumn—has arrived. And with it comes the unmistakable buzz of Durga Puja preparations.
In the heart of CR Park the Bengali quarter of Delhi the atmosphere is charged with excitement as homes, markets, and studios get ready to welcome Devi Durga.

Join DelhiByFoot (DBF) for an exclusive walk unlike any other in the capital—an immersive experience that captures the essence of “Pujo Aashchey” (The Pujas are coming!). Witness first-hand the behind-the-scenes magic that makes Durga Puja so special for the Bengali community.

🔸 Step into a Kumor Tuli —an idol maker’s workshop—and discover how a humble lump of clay is lovingly transformed into the Goddess.
🔸 Interact with potters and artisans to understand the intricate and symbolic process of idol-making—try your hand at it if they allow!
🔸 Learn about the fascinating evolution of Durga Puja—from its historical roots to modern-day practices.
🔸 Hear age-old tales and divine myths about the Goddess while walking through bustling Bengali markets prepping for the big celebration.
🔸 Relish a traditional Bengali Jol-Khabar (breakfast) served fresh—with sips of hot ‘chaa’ to complete the experience.

1. Delhi is reeling under plastic waste let's not pollute our city any further so request you to carry your own bottle of water.
2. It is mosquito time in Delhi so please carry your appropriate repellent creams/bug sprays.
3. We will have a walk of around 1.5kms So wear comfortable walking shoes. Not that we will stop any flip-flop wearers from joining us!
