This monthly series of experiential learning journeys in Delhi are meant to help families to come together with their children and take a deep-dive into India’s rich Historical and Cultural Heritage. A collaboration of Delhi’s leading heritage walking community and Children learning journeys @DelhiByFoot Scholarsafaris and @HeritageForChildren, we bring forth unique hands-on walking tours/ workshops for young learners and their families.

Step into the shoes of a Chief Cartographer and rediscover New Delhi like never before!
Join us for a one-of-a-kind hands-on workshop, where children and parents come together to explore how India’s capital was imagined, mapped and designed.

Through fun storytelling and guided activities participants will:

• Uncover the secrets of New Delhi’s terrain and the reasons behind its grand urban plan.
• Explore the original Master Plan that shaped the city’s magnificent avenues and landmarks.
• Learn to read and interpret historical maps decoding the symbols and stories they hold.
• Map the Walk — embark on a short guided route and turn your real-time discoveries into your very own hand-drawn city map.

By the end of the evening you’ll see every road roundabout and monument with new eyes — as part of a living breathing masterpiece of design.
