Join the storytellers & historians of Teams DelhiByFoot-TheBrownTicket in collaboration with the Department of Archaeology and Museums, Haryana Government, for a 2-Day Heritage Exploration tracing a few millennia across Haryana’s iconic sites of Rakhigarhi and Kurukshetra. Two places where India’s story unfolds as myths mingle with historical memory; where we walk ancient spiritual and imperial pathways.....listening to the faint echoes of the celestial dialogues of the Bhagavad Gita, the earth-bound wisdom of the Indus Valley Civilisation, and the clang of Afghan Spears in search of a new empire!

Our adventure begins at Rakhigarhi, perhaps the biggest and yet to be fully excavated ancient heart of the Indus Valley Civilization, larger than Mohenjodaro or Lothal combined! The air here feels different, and the earth cradles and remembers the pulse of a civilization older than memory itself. It is hard not to feel humbled as you walk through the active archaeological mounds and skeletal relics...among unearthed streets and terracotta shards, and where clay beads speak of a thriving ancient people who lived in one of humanity’s earliest cities and breathed the dreams of our subcontinent’s dawn!!

From the remains of the Harrappan People we journey to the Epics of the People, as our trail continues to Kurukshetra, the hallowed land of the Mahabharata - where dharma, duty and destiny have shaped Indian philosophy since time immemorial....At the banks of the Jyotisar Sarovar relive the tales of the world’s most profound spiritual discourses and the longest epic ever written in human history! We then journey into the layered past of Kurukshetra; from sites touched by The Buddha’s Peaceful Calm and legacies of the Afghan Empire Builder Sher Shah Suri, whose imperial vision reshaped India as we know it today.

We will also enjoy the lively cultural experiences of Haryana as part of the 2nd Rakhigarhi Mahotsav 2025 organised by the Haryana State Govt.
