Gurgaon Leaders Toastmaster Club- Practice Effective Communication

Your ability to communicate effectively and the professional success goes hand in hand.

As entrepreneurs, we often need to wear multiple hats, get people to work with us, inspire our target communities, clients and employees. Overall, everything we do at a Toastmasters meeting mean to make you an Effective communicator and a Natural Leader.

I would like to invite you to Gurgaon Leaders Toastmasters club as a guest.

We are a club under Toastmasters International (https://www.toastmasters.org/), a platform to practice effective communication and public speaking in a friendly environment. This is a community initiative, we learn from each other under the guidance of senior mentors and Toastmasters.

A toastmaster meeting consists of three phases:

• Prepared Speeches

• Table Topics

• Evaluation

Prepared Speeches: In this session, members of the club deliver prepared speeches. These speeches are based on one of the themes like body language, voice tonality etc. that allows the speaker to focus on developing a particular speaking skill.

Advanced speeches address story telling, presentation skills, sales, management speeches, humorous speeches etc. This session is conducted by the Toastmaster of the Day.

Table Topics: This session provides the speaker an opportunity to learn to deliver impromptu talks. The speaker is provided with a topic on the spot by the Table Topics Master and the speaker has to speak on that topic.

Evaluation: All the activities of a meeting are evaluated eg. speeches, time keeping, conduct of members, grammatical usage, awkward sounds in speeches such as filler words etc.

Feedback entails both the positives and the areas of improvement in a demonstrative and friendly manner.

Members Get to play a lot of other roles as well

General Evaluator - Moderator of Evaluation section

Evaluator - Learn to give feedback

Supplementary roles - Like timer, ah-counter, Grammarian, parliamentarian helps you improve your time management, listening and English grammar.

Note - This is an invitation to be our guest and see the actual meeting in progress, if you love the energy you are most welcome to join the community and be an effective leader. You can attend upto 2 meetings as guest and its free for you.

We can only accommodate a maximum of 10 members as guests and its first come first serve basis.
