Expect a brief check-in, guided sharing (about five minutes per person), and a short grounding practice designed to help participants leave feeling steadier and more connected.
Who it’s for:
Adults (18+) seeking a calm, respectful environment to relate, reflect, and take away a few practical ideas.
Guidelines:
- Confidentiality: What is shared in the room stays in the room; do not discuss others’ stories or identities after the session.
- Respectful space: Use considerate language; no harassment, shaming, or comparisons. Be cautious with sensitive topics; check with the facilitator if unsure.
- Relevance: Keep sharing related to anxiety, mental health, coping, or recovery; general entertainment or unrelated topics can wait until after the session unless clearly linked to mental health
- Non-commercial: No marketing, self‑promotion, or repeated endorsements of clinicians, services, or medications during the session.
- Sharing information: Share personal experiences freely; if presenting facts/research, mention the source briefly or bring a short handout if helpful.
- Advice culture: Offer lived experience, not directives; give advice only if it’s requested, and frame it as “what helped me.”
- Time and flow: Aim for up to 5 minutes per share so everyone has space; avoid side conversations; one person speaks at a time. Longer chats can continue after the session.
- Interruptions and listening: Listen without interrupting; reflect briefly when invited; prioritize empathy and safety.
