Welcome to the Land of the Thunder Dragon, a country where wealth is measured not by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) but by Gross National Happiness (GNP). This is Bhutan. This tiny, strikingly beautiful Himalayan country, sandwiched between India and China, still remains one of the Last Shangri-La with a charm and magic like nowhere else in the world. Bhutan`s landscape consists of lofty and rugged mountain ranges separated by deep, fertile valleys, of which 72 percent are covered by forest. Through centuries of self-imposed isolation, Bhutan has been able to preserve its spectacular environment and nurture its unique culture.

We take you on a lifetime journey to this tiny little country with ‘no traffic lights’ that has put the happiness of its people before economic growth and set a world standard for environmental preservation.

BRIEF ITINERARY:

Day 01: Arrive in Bagdogra – Transfer to Phuentsholing (Bhutan Border)

Day 02: Phuentsholing–Thimphu (Buddha Dordenma, Stroll on the streets of Thimpu. Evening, try the local drink, ARA.)

Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing (National Memorial Chorten, Zorig Chusum, Folk Heritage Museum, Motithang Zoo, Textile Museum, Zilukha Nunnery Temple, Tashichho Dzong)

Day 04: Thimphu–Dochula Pass–Punakha (108 Druk Wangyal Chortens, Chimi Lhakhang, Punakha Dzong, Suspension Bridge)

Day 05: Punakha–Phobjikha Valley (Witness Black Necked Cranes, Black Necked Crane Information Centre, Explore the village of Gangtey)

Day 06: Phobjikha Valley–Paro (Gangtey monastery, Paro Dzong, Souvenir Shopping, Cafe-Hopping)

Day 07: Hike to the Tiger’s Nest (Hot Stone Bath in the evening)

Day 08: Drive to Bagdogra
