SPECIAL Book Discussion: World Travel by Anthony Bourdain

Details
Let’s eat, drink, and talk Bourdain.
Join us for a fun and flavorful night as we celebrate the life and work of Anthony Bourdain, diving into World Travel: An Irreverent Guide—a bold, witty travel book full of Bourdain’s unmistakable voice and sense of adventure. We’ll also touch on his other works, like No Reservations, and chat about the iconic shows (No Reservations and Parts Unknown) that made us all want to book a one-way ticket somewhere new.
In true Bourdain fashion, this won’t be your typical book discussion. We’ll be eating our way through three different restaurants, each representing a different culture and cuisine—just the way he would’ve wanted it.
We’ll start at Papa’s Tapas for Spanish bites, head to Yama for Japanese favorites, and finish the night with Mediterranean flavors at Joseph’s Wine Bar & Café.
This isn’t a paid event, but we will be eating and drinking, so please bring cash or be ready to Zelle—some places may only allow one card per table, and we might need to split the check old-school style.
We’re meeting outside Papa’s Tapas until 6:05 PM, then heading in together. Being on time helps everything run smoothly, so please aim for punctuality.
And don’t forget to keep your RSVP updated—it helps with planning and makes sure everyone gets a seat at the table.
Come with your favorite Bourdain memories, your appetite, and a spirit of curiosity. It’s going to be a night of good food, great conversation, and a little wanderlust.
