I lived in the country with my grandma in Louisiana she raised me , we went back and forth from simsboro, Louisiana to Wichita kansas. I would be up 5am picking greens with mema , sitting on the porch shelling peas, to when we were in Kansas a small city town to planting tomatoes in the garden. My favorite uncle in Louisiana wouldn’t let “girls “ ride the horses, so I can’t ride. I’m saying this to say don’t let anyone define your “countryness “it’s either in you or not .
